The Asheville Running Experience has a NO REFUND policy. However, we do offer partial discount codes for cancellations during our cancellation periods. If the event is NOT sold out, a discount code for 50% of your race registration fee will be offered until 30 days prior to the race date. If the event IS sold out, a discount code for 100% of your race registration fee will be offered until 14 days prior to the race date. Discount codes can be used to register for another Asheville Running Experience event and will be valid for 12 months after the event date.
You may transfer your registration to another participant up to 14 days prior to the race day with a $2 transfer fee. You may only transfer an entry in the same race. Email your transfer request to firstname.lastname@example.org with your original registration information, including confirmation number as well as the email address for the participant who will be taking your place. Emails must be received no later than Monday, August 8, 2016.
We will use ChampionChip My-Laps timing with the timing chip attached to your race bib for the ARX Half Marathon, Asheville Super Hero 5K and Chasing Trail. There will be a start pad to report your start time and we will use chip times to calculate the results and awards.
Live, unofficial results will be available during each race at Right on Time Productions.
For the ARX Half Marathon and Super Hero 5K, you may stop by the City Mac Results tent to check your results.
Official results will be posted at www.ashevillerunningexperience.com after each race.
A portion of each entry fee will be donated to Eblen Charities as part of their Arby’s/Eblen Joyful Home for the Holidays program to provide food to area children over the holiday vacation. Event participants will be able to make additional donations through the registration process.
At the Saturday afternoon Funktastic Fun Run, we will take three cans of food, which will be donated to Eblen Charities, in lieu of $3 off the entry fee.
In addition to these donations, we will be working with and providing funding to a host of area non-profit organizations that provide volunteers for the event.
We love our volunteers, who make the event possible. A majority of our volunteers will come from non-profit organizations. If you represent a non-profit looking for a fundraiser, please click HERE to view the opportunities available and register your organization.

The Happening is our very "Asheville" version of a Race Expo. Come grab your packet early, see some of our local performance artists, visit with our vendors and sponsors, and enjoy a bite to eat and craft beer on the outside patio.
The Happening with be happening, from 3 pm to 7 pm on Friday August 19th.
